Privacy Policy

Summary. Virtual Mic collects minimal data necessary to provide and improve the app. The app may show third-party ads. We do not sell your information. You have choices about how your data is used.

Definitions

“We,” “us,” and “our” mean the operator of Virtual Mic and this service. “You” and “your” mean the individual using the app. “Personal information” means data that identifies or could reasonably identify you. “Service” means the Virtual Mic app and related offerings. “Policy” means this Privacy Policy as updated from time to time.

Information We Collect

We collect only what we need to deliver the service. This may include information you provide (such as preferences or support requests) and information generated by your use of the app (such as device type and usage). We gather it with your knowledge and consent, and we tell you why we need it.

How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to operate and improve Virtual Mic, to respond to you, to show ads, to measure ad performance, and to comply with the law.

Advertising

We use third-party advertising partners to display ads in the app. These partners may collect and process information such as device identifiers (e.g. Advertising ID/IDFA where permitted), IP address, coarse location, ad impressions/clicks, and app usage data to provide, personalize (where allowed), and measure ads. You can control ad personalization through your device settings and, on iOS, through App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompts where applicable.

Legal Basis for Processing

We process your information only where we have a lawful basis: your consent, performance of a contract with you, our legitimate interests (e.g. improving the service, security), or compliance with a legal obligation. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

Data Retention

We keep your information only as long as needed to provide the service or as required by law. We protect stored data with reasonable technical and organizational measures against loss, theft, and unauthorized access, disclosure, or use.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

If the app or our website uses cookies, SDKs, or similar technologies (e.g. local storage), we use them to provide functionality, remember preferences, analyse usage, and measure advertising performance. You can manage or disable cookies through your device or browser settings where available and control ad personalization through your device privacy settings.

Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell or rent your personally identifying information. We may share information when necessary—for example, to comply with law, to protect rights and safety, with service providers who act on our behalf under confidentiality, and with advertising partners to serve and measure ads (who may process information under their own privacy policies). We do not share your information with third parties for their marketing unrelated to providing ads in the app.

Your Rights and Choices

You can ask us what data we hold about you, request correction or deletion where applicable, and object to or restrict certain processing. You may also withdraw consent where we rely on it. Refusing or limiting data may affect some features of the app.

Where applicable (e.g. under GDPR), you have the right to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format and to transmit it to another controller. You may also have the right to have your data transferred directly by us where technically feasible.

Security

We use industry-standard practices to safeguard your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We do not guarantee that your data will be secure at all times. We are not liable for unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure that results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control (including but not limited to third-party conduct, device compromise, or force majeure). You use the service and provide information at your own risk.

Children’s Privacy

Our app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us and we will delete it.

Third-Party Links

The app may link to websites or services we do not operate. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to read their policies.

International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. We ensure appropriate safeguards (e.g. standard contractual clauses, adequacy decisions) where required by law so that your data remains protected to the standard required in your jurisdiction.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy at any time. We will post the revised version here and update the “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the app after the revised policy is posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. It is your responsibility to review this policy periodically.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we and our affiliates, officers, directors, and suppliers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or profit, arising from or related to this policy, your use of the service, or our handling of your information. Our total liability in connection with this policy or the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or one hundred Indian Rupees (₹100), whichever is greater. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; where they apply, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

No Legal Advice

This policy is for informational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice. You should consult your own legal or privacy advisor for advice specific to your situation.

Right to Lodge a Complaint

If you are in the EEA, UK, or another jurisdiction with a data protection authority, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority if you believe our processing of your personal data infringes applicable law. We encourage you to contact us first so we can address your concerns.

Agreement

By using Virtual Mic, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to this privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app. If you have questions about how we handle your data, please contact us.

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Virtual Mic, you agree to these terms of service and to all applicable laws. If you do not agree, you may not use the app. The content and materials in Virtual Mic are protected by copyright and trademark law.

Eligibility

You represent that you are at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and have the legal capacity to enter into these terms. If you use the service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization. We may refuse service to anyone at any time.

Intellectual Property

The service, including its design, content, code, and materials, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Except for the limited license we grant you, you receive no right, title, or interest in or to the service. You may not use our trademarks or branding without our prior written consent.

Use License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Virtual Mic for personal, non-commercial use on your device. You may not:

  • copy, modify, or create derivative works;
  • use the app or its content for any commercial or public display;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software;
  • remove or alter any copyright or proprietary notices; or
  • transfer, sublicense, or mirror the app or its materials.

This license ends automatically if you breach these terms or when we terminate it. Upon termination, you must stop using the app and delete any copies in your possession.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use the service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. You may not: use the service in any way that violates law or the rights of others; transmit harmful, offensive, or illegal content; attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or related systems; interfere with or disrupt the service; or use automated means to access the service without our permission. We may suspend or terminate your access if we believe you have breached this section.

User Content

If the service allows you to submit, post, or transmit content (e.g. feedback, data, or materials), you retain ownership of what you submit but grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and display that content to operate and improve the service. You represent that you have the right to grant this license and that your content does not infringe any third-party rights. We are not responsible for content you or other users submit.

Disclaimer

Virtual Mic is provided “as is.” We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of the app or any linked content.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless us, our affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from or related to: (a) your use or misuse of the service; (b) your breach of these terms; (c) your violation of any law or third-party right; or (d) any content or data you submit or transmit through the service. We reserve the right to assume exclusive defense and control of any matter subject to indemnification by you, at your expense.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Virtual Mic, its operators, and its suppliers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages (including loss of data, profit, goodwill, or business interruption) arising from your use or inability to use the app. In no event shall our total liability to you for all claims exceed the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or one hundred Indian Rupees (₹100), whichever is greater. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations; where they apply, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the service at any time, with or without cause or notice, and without liability to you. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including indemnification, limitation of liability, disclaimer, and governing law) will survive termination.

Revisions

Content in Virtual Mic may contain errors or be out of date. We may change or update the app at any time without notice and have no obligation to update materials.

Third-Party Links

The app may link to third-party sites. We are not responsible for their content or practices. Inclusion of a link does not imply endorsement. Use of linked sites is at your own risk.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. The current version is posted here. Continued use of Virtual Mic after changes means you accept the updated terms.

Governing Law and Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Haryana, India, for any dispute arising from or related to these terms or the service. You waive any objection to venue or forum.

Force Majeure

We are not liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, terrorism, pandemic, government action, embargo, labour dispute, failure of third-party services, or interruption of power or communications.

Assignment

We may assign or transfer these terms, or our rights or obligations under them, to any affiliate or in connection with a merger, sale, or restructuring, without your consent. You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these terms without our prior written consent. Any attempted assignment in violation of this section is void.

Export Compliance

You may not use, export, re-export, or transfer the service or any portion of it except in compliance with all applicable export and import laws and regulations. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to embargo and are not on any government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

Severability

If any provision of these terms is held invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. The invalid or unenforceable provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable while preserving the parties’ intent.

Entire Agreement and Waiver

These terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any other policies we publish for the service, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the service and supersede any prior agreements. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. No waiver shall be effective unless in writing signed by us.

No Third-Party Rights

These terms do not create any third-party beneficiary rights. Only you and we have rights under these terms.
